Launch of Care4vision |
‘Care4Vision’ in the presence of Mahesh Bhatt, Dr. Goyal added, “India is a host to majority of blind population in the World. Unfortunately most have lost vision due to no proper eye check-up facility or non- awareness of the importance of eye check-up. It’s strange, but true that most of us are unaware of the importance of eye check-up. There are estimated 45 million blind people in the world; where as 169 million suffer from low vision or serious visual impairment. Many a times, it is observed that patients who suffer poor vision in one or both eyes could have totally avoided the situation, if his/her eyes were examined at approx 5 years of age. Thus Surya launches the ‘Care4Vision’ campaign, to spread the awareness about Eye care and check-up at the early ages of life. This will free include vision screening of more than 1.0 lakh children in and around Mumbai. Those children with visual defects will be given an eye check-up free of cost”.

Mukesh Sharma, Director Doordarshan |
I am regularly strengthening the hands of Dr. Goyal in this cause and my complete support is with Dr. Goyal as a public broadcaster.
Today the news should be 25,000 eye practitioners for the 100 crores of population but we are getting less important news like Mr. X, film actor is earning Rs. 350 per minute, this information is of no use for me today and you too.
Today we need to work with Dr. Goyal to make this awareness in the society which is very important for the Future India – a Better India. I request other media also that please come forward and support this kind of cause with Dr. Goyal my support will continue with Dr. Goyal and likeminded persons.
