Nothing like one-to-one eye examination. But with the limited number of eye care professionals for a country vast as India makes it impossible to check each and everyone and so the odds are more in favor of blindness.

How Society will be benefited by care4vision ?

India is a host of majority of blind in the world. Lack of Resources, poverty, non availability of trained professionals and lack of out reach programs are important reasons why more than 1/3 of the blind in the world are in India. There are total 26,000 Eye care professionals in India for a population of more than 1 billion. Children form approximately 25% to 30% of Population.

As per World Health Organization (WHO) and other studies approximately 22-27% of children have some or the other eye problems either major or minor. Isn’t it a pity that in the era of technological developments the benefits of basic and advanced eye care are yet to reach the target audience who need it most. The project “care4vision” will help us to reach these nation’s youth and help us to identify the children those who are more at risk of having an eye problems and are more at risk of blindness.

Why this Eye Screening is Important for your Child ?

Most of the babies have normal vision, however research have proved that 22-27 % children have some or other eye problems major or minor. Meaning thereby that out of 20 children every Fifth child could be having an eye problem even without being aware of it. Most of the Eye Diseases are painless and hence most of the eye diseases remain undetected and are detected only by chance or on routine eye examinations. Such an abnormal child could be Yours or your’s neighbor’s child or any child around you.

By participating in project care4vision there are good chances that any diseases defect or abnormality in the eyes of child can be detected and rectified before it is too late.
